Old Meeting Place: Drawing Cultural Remnants with Rodney Allen
In this 3-day course, students will explore the beauty of Saint Helena Island's historical structures. Through applied drawing techniques, student's will depict the remains of the Chapel of Ease, a locally famous meeting place on St. Helena Island, SC.
Meet the Instructor:
Rodney Allen is a native of Beaufort South Carolina, is a realist painter who aspires to capture the beauty of the Lowcountry with the use of oil and acrylic. Rodney's three older siblings who are also artists influenced his artistic process at an early age. His art is characterized by the natural colors, hues, contrasting shapes, and compositions that make up the Lowcountry landscape. During his career, Mr. Allen has received many art awards and his work can be found in many galleries and homes.
